IT Support Specialist I

About the Role

Here at Mortgage Lenders of America, a Zillow Group company, we are looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist in our Kansas City office. You will have proven communication, organization, and technical skills, to help support our rapidly growing internal user base at this office. This includes the chance to:

  • Perform basic break/fix for end-users - fixing Mac and PC issues with connectivity, peripherals, hardware, and software.
  • Set up accounts and hardware for incoming hires, and tearing down same for departing employees - building accounts; imaging and deploying hardware; retrieving hardware
  • Gain a superior understanding of our corporate apps and systems, as you develop relationships with the Corp IT team and understand where to go and what resources to use for advanced issues.
  • Set proper expectations and de-escalate stressful user situations, as well as analyze and decide how to handle issues with some enterprise impact.
  • Maintain and contribute to existing documentation on enterprise systems and applications.
  • Assisting with setup of company events from an IT perspective, including support for A/V and computer requirements.
  • Act as on-site inventory specialist. Understand whether inventory levels need replenishment and or standards are being met.
  • Help the team with basic inventory and stock room tasks - scanning delivered hardware into inventory; arranging warranty repair and replacement of broken items; doing physical asset counts.
  • Assist with Exchange and/or Office365 task work - confirming email addresses; checking and updating distribution lists.
  • Seek task work in our other Enterprise systems/applications - account work and troubleshooting in JAMF, SCCM, Shoretel, Salesforce, etc.
  • Learn and improve Zillow's IT processes and procedures while helping to maintain Digital Security Awareness in a banking\mortgage environment
Who you are
  • You've had three to five years experience in Information Technology and end user support.
  • You have an existing knowledge of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.
  • You have a deep understanding of Active Directory, O365, JAMF, Okta administration, telephony, ServiceNow functions.
  • You love to help people and tackle problems, and you have excellent Customer Service and teamwork skills.
  • You have extraordinary in-person, phone, and written interpersonal skills.
